Hi, I’m Adam.
I help you pick tech that works in your setup.
Since my first video in December 2022, I’ve made over 1,400 videos, and they’ve been watched more than 45 million times.
Why I started
I wanted to make YouTube videos for a long time before I did it. I didn’t think my voice or my opinion mattered. Later I realized I have a pretty good way of looking at things.
I’m not too positive and I’m not too negative. No hype, no shouting into the camera, no chasing clicks. I just want you to get something that’s going to be great for you.
Before Adam Talks Tech, I worked in photography, videography, real estate photography, and live production. Outside of tech, I play guitar and I love 3D printing.
The videos are for anyone trying to pick something: tech dads, nerds, programmers, moms, and even the people who’d call themselves tech illiterate. The simple ones give you an answer in about 3 minutes. The deep dives show the full testing, so you can see I really put this stuff through it.

How I review
I verify that everything a company says is true, and I look for the shortcomings they don’t mention.
I test every feature and compare it side by side with the stuff it competes with, so you know where the value is. Will it help you make more money or be more productive, or are the features just silly?
For speakers and headphones, I listen for punch and how they handle music versus spoken word. I check battery life, how things charge, and whether they work wired or wireless. And I look at what’s in the box and what you’ll have to buy right away to use it.
I take things apart, swap in different NVMe drives, and run the same displays and docks on more than one Mac to find the limits on older machines.
Manufacturers conveniently leave things out. If a mouse has great battery life but you have to flip it over to charge it, I’ll tell you. If an SSD is fast but slows down over time, I’ll tell you that too. There’s no set timeline. I use something until I know all its features and I’ve verified everything works.

Where my gear comes from
I buy a lot of my gear. B&H is kind enough to loan me many of the Macs I test, because I couldn’t buy every single Mac. Many of the docking stations and SSDs I test are sent to me for free.
Getting something for free doesn’t mean I’ll push it on you. When I put together a “best accessories” list, those are things I’d spend my own money on.
Brands I’ve reviewed or worked with include OWC, Samsung, SanDisk, Sonnet, Kingston, Oyen Digital, CalDigit, Satechi, Anker, Kensington, NuPhy, Razer, BenQ, Elgato, Adam Audio, and Amaran.
My rules
My opinions can’t be bought. They’re my honest ones, every time.
If a brand sent it or paid for it, you’ll know. I say so in the video, here on the site, and with YouTube’s paid promotion label.
If I don’t believe in it, I won’t fake it. Sometimes the honest answer is “don’t get this, get this instead.”
